Cookalong TV Prize Draw: Terms and Conditions of Entry
Description of prize draw
Your chance to win an exclusive cooking lesson from the celebrity shown in the individual prize draw via an online video call with up to 8 of your friends.
Free entry with the option of purchasing additional entries. Proceeds will go to the charity being supported in the individual prize draw.
Who can enter
Prize Draw open to UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man residents aged 18 years or over only, excluding employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, and anyone else professionally connected with the Prize Draw.
Entrants are required to have an Internet connection with a minimum of 1.5Mbps/1.5Mbps (up/down).
Entrants shall not be entitled to receive any prize unless they can substantiate that they comply with conditions above.
Opening/closing date & time
Prize Draw opens and closes for online entries via the Cookalong TV (“Website”) at the dates and times shown on the website.
How to enter
The first entry is free.
Entrants can purchase additional entries “paid entries” (based on the same details as submitted in their previous free entry) at a price of £1 per entry, in multiples shown on the Website.
Additional paid entries can be obtained by using the following methods, namely:
- Credit or Debit card (via Stripe)
- Paypal: follow the instructions on the Website
- Apple Pay: follow the instructions on the Website.
Please note if you are using a credit card with Stripe, Apple Pay or Paypal, your card provider may impose surcharges.
There is no cap (“Cap”) on the number of paid entries across all online platforms.
Winner selection & contact
The draw will take place within one (1) week of the closing date and time for all entries.
Subject to eligibility and compliance with all applicable terms and conditions, the first entry drawn at random from all eligible entries will win the prize and be invited to participate in the Cookalong with up to 8 friends.
A list of ingredients for each Cookalong will be supplied and the winner and each of their friends will be required to complete the “food allergy” documentation notifying us of any allergies and confirming that they have read the list of ingredients and that those ingredients, and the method of cooking, are suitable for them.
In the event that the winner does not have an Internet connection of at least 1.5Mbps/1.5Mbps (up/down), Cookalong TV reserves the right to deem the winner of the draw ineligible to participate in the prize and to draw another winner at random from the remaining eligible entries.
There will not be any alternative prizes, no interest is payable and prizes are not transferable.
Winners’ names may be used in reasonable publicity for future Cookalong TV Free Prize Draws without further reference, payment or other compensation. These will only be used in summary e.g. Mrs S from Lancaster.
This prize draw is run in accordance with the guidelines of the Direct Marketing Association and the Code of Advertising Practice.

Entry into the draw will constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions and Cookalong TV’s General Competition, Prize Draw, Vote and Poll Terms and Conditions.
Cookalong TV reserves the right to decline to accept an entry, cancel an existing entry and /or award any prize to an alternative winner if Cookalong TV has grounds to believe that a entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions, acted fraudulently or illegally, or on other reasonable grounds, and Cookalong TV shall have no liability to entrants for any loss or damage suffered arising from its exercising such rights.
Cookalong TV may (without giving any reason or notice at its absolute discretion) modify, terminate or suspend the Free Prize Draw in whole or in part. Entrants shall be notified in writing of material changes to these terms before they come into effect in accordance with clause 26.
Cookalong TV reserves the right to cancel the prize draw or amend these terms and conditions without prior notice. Any significant changes shall be notified via the Website or by contacting entrants directly using the contact details provided to us on registration (such method to be determined by Cookalong TV in its absolute discretion).
Cookalong TV’s decisions made pursuant to these terms and conditions shall, once made, be final and binding.
No liability is accepted for:
- any loss or damage, including the right to receive a prize, suffered by any entrant if they have not complied with these terms and conditions or any relevant participation instructions;
- the loss, theft or delayed receipt of any communication or entry, or which is damaged or illegible, from which the entrant or winner cannot be identified or which has insufficient postage (proof of posting is not proof of receipt);
- any late bank payments;
- Cookalong TV’s failure or inability to contact a entrant and/or award any prize due to any errors omissions or inaccuracies in the contact details provided or a entrant’s failure to update these if they change;
- loss or damage incurred by any entrant in connection with their participation in the Free Prize Draw or their use of any prize including but not limited to direct, indirect and/or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize or any part of it;
- any interruptions or errors on or to the Website; technical hardware or software errors or failures or lost, faulty or unavailable network connections; or
- any failure or delay beyond Cookalong TV’s reasonable control.
Cookalong TV is not liable in contract, tort (including but not limited to negligence) or otherwise in connection with the Free Prize Draw for loss of revenue, contract, profits, anticipated savings or loss of data, any special or indirect or consequential losses or any loss of goodwill or reputation. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit Cookalong TV’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud or for any other matter for which liability may not be limited by law.
All warranties, conditions or guarantees relating to the Free Prize Draw made by or on behalf of Cookalong TV whether express or implied by law, in the course of dealings or otherwise, are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Subject to clause 27, Cookalong TV liability to any entrant shall be limited to the amount of any prize which have become due to that entrant.
Cookalong TV will use entrants’ information, together with that of any other participants in the Cookalong, for the purposes of administering the Free Prize Draw. That information will also be shared with Cookalong TV’s agents to the extent necessary for the Champions Prize Draw to be administered and prizes to be delivered to winners and for sending entrants information regarding its work and other fundraising opportunities.
All entrants will be added to the Cookalong database, which we will use to promote news related to Cookalong via a newsletter. Users have the option to UNSUBSCRIBE from the mailing list at any point.

The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Charities supported by paid entries
Cookalong TV is committed to support all of its Charity partners and subject to 10% of each paid entry being used to cover operational costs, the remainder will be used for the benefit of the individual charity supported in the relevant Free Prize Draw.
